정식 서비스가 아닌 베타 기간이라서 신청을 통해 선별적으로 가입이 이루어지고 있는 것 같습니다. 저는 이틀 전에 신청해서 오늘 승인 이메일이 왔습니다. 웹사이트에 접속하여 왼쪽에 보면 초대를 요청하는 메뉴가 있고, 여기에 이메일 주소를 넣으면 이메일로 승인 여부를 알려줍니다.

이메일을 받고 잽싸게 우분투원 웹사이트로 접속을 하여 로긴을 했습니다. 서비스의 옵션은 회원에게는 무료로 2G의 용량을 주고, 유료 회원은 매달 10불에 10G를 줍니다. 저는 돈이 없는 관계로 무료 2G만 사용해 볼 생각에 Free 2GB 아래에 있는 Subscribe 버튼을 클릭했습니다.
그러면 신청한 내역에 대해서 다시 한번 확인을 합니다. Agree & Purchase를 클릭합니다.
이제 웹폴더 서비스를 지원하기 위한 프로그램을 설치하라고 합니다. Add PPA를 클릭하여 설치하고, 그 밑에 있는 우분투원용 클라이언트를 설치합니다.
설치를 완료했습니다. 이제 이제 웹폴더와 컴퓨터와 연동을 시키라고 합니다. 현재 사용하고 있는 컴퓨터에 접속할 수 있도록 승인해 줍니다. Add This Computer를 클릭하면 됩니다.
이렇게 해 주니 상단 패널에 우분투원용 상태아이콘이 생기고, 이것을 클릭하면 노틸러스(윈도우 탐색기와 같은 역할을 하는 우분투용 애플리케이션 이름)에 ubuntu one이라는 이름으로 )용 폴더가 생깁니다.
여기에 넣고자 하는 파일을 드래그 해 넣으면 마치 컴퓨터에 파일을 넣듯이 그냥 쏙 들어갑니다. 아래 파일에 캡쳐한 파일 하나 넣었는데, 보이시죠?
이렇게 노틸러스에 파일을 넣어도 되고, 웹에서 직접 넣어도 됩니다. 아래는 파일이 아무것도 없을 때의 웹폴더의 모습입니다.
파일을 하나 넣으니, 리스트에 파일이 뜨네요. 캡쳐한 이미지를 클릭하면 크게 보입니다. 클릭해 보시면 노틸러스에 드래그 해서 넣어 놓은 이미지 파일 하나 들어가 있는거 보일거에요.
집에 있는 우분투로 파일을 만들어 얼마나 자주 연동을 하겠냐 싶기는 하지만, 일단 2G라는 공간의 웹폴더를 확보해 놓으니, 왠지 마음이 흐믓합니다. 혹시 우분투를 사용하시거나, 앞으로 사용할 계획이 있으시다면, 꼭 우분투원에 가입하셔서 무료 2G 혜택을 받으세요~
